I have practiced Healing Shiatsu for 25 years and I remain passionate about it as a powerful and effective tool for health and an increased sense of wellbeing. I am fascinated by the complexity of the body, mind and spirit ,and the mechanisms of recovery, and I like the fact that there is still always so much more to learn.
An important part of my journey in the study of health has been to understand how food affects us at a very deep level. I began my training in nutrition about 10 years ago. Firstly studying nutrition and naturopathy and later allergy therapy and nutritional balancing. With my background deeply embedded in a Chinese medicine approach through Shiatsu, I have a rich variety of resources to draw from when working with a wide range of health issues.
I am eager to empower people to take an active role in their health and recovery. I love my work but the most exciting bit is when you see someone who has been low with illness becoming enthusiastic and inspired to join in with the process of healing themselves.
I work as a Shiatsu practitioner giving bodywork through acupressure (acupuncture without needles) incorporating a nutritional element if appropriate.
I also work as a practitioner in Allergy therapy and nutritional balancing and may suggest energy work as a further tool in your recovery.
If you are not sure what sort of approach would be most appropriate for you and your health issues, you are welcome to come and have a free 15 minute consultation.
