Laura Wheatley M.Ost DPO
Registered Osteopath Specialist Paediatric Osteopath I am a Registered Osteopath with postgraduate training in cranial osteopathy - I use this gentle approach in conjunction with structural osteopathy to support people to feel better in their bodies. My job is to listen to people and to listen to their bodies, and to help people listen to what their bodies are telling them. I enjoy treating people of all ages, and have specialist training in treating babies and children and in working with women in pregnancy and throughout postpartum. I am a local mother of three children and I'm passionate about pursuing health and wellness in all aspects of life. My background as a professional contemporary dancer and extensive experience in movement also plays an important role in my osteopathic approach. Training I studied for my Masters qualification at the University College of Osteopathy, qualifying in 2012 with distinction. On graduation I was awarded several prizes including the college’s Gold Medal for outstanding contribution to the life of the school and the R.K. Hardy Prize for my research into emotional processing and lower back pain (which has since been published). I have a special interest in treating babies and children having worked for two years at the prestigious Osteopathic Centre for Children (OCC) in London where I gained my postgraduate Diploma in Paediatric Osteopathy. I am passionate about women's health and treats women through pre-conception, pregnancy and throughout postpartum. I recently completed training with Rachelle Garcia Seliga to become a Certified Innate Postpartum Care provider. |
