Nutrition and Allergy Therapy (Children)
Mary Sharma
WE ARE WHAT WE EAT
The food that we eat affects us mentally, emotionally and physically. What we eat can determine our mood, energy levels, ability to sleep and our overall health.
Nutrition is immensely relevant for all children’s ailments. Proper nutrition can prevent many medical problems and will ensure that your child grows physically and mentally to their full potential.
Optimum nutrition is also vital before conception to ensure a healthy trouble free pregnancy. Mary runs a preconceptual care programme in conjunction with Foresight which helps to aid couples with fertility problems and improve their chances of a successful pregnancy. Pre conceptual programmes will also improve the chances of IVF and ICSI.
Mary approaches children’s health issues from a naturopathic and nutritional perspective. She aims to discover the root of the health issue, be it a nutritional deficiency, food sensitivity, endocrine imbalance, emotional, physical or structural stress. Dietary, nutritional and lifestyle advice will be given in line with your child’s individual constitution in order to guide them back to balanced, optimal health.
A consultation consists of taking a full case history followed by food sensitivity testing using muscle testing (applied kinesiology). Children of 8 years and above can be tested individually; babies and children up to the age of 8 are tested through a surrogate such as a parent. The testing process is totally non-invasive and painless.
Mary Sharma has been practicing since 1994 and has qualifications in Nutritional Medicine, Allergy Therapy, Iridology, Ayurveda and Homotoxicology. She lectures regularly to other practitioners and runs the nutrition module on two local courses. She has a particular interest in the effects of stress on the body and how this manifests into the many diverse symptoms with which we suffer today. Her nutritional programmes aim to address stress, correct the imbalances that the stress has caused and support the body in a return to optimal health.
