OSTEOPATHY
Suzanne Croskell M.Ost, BSc(Hons)
Osteopathy is a gentle and effective hands-on approach to healthcare. It is suitable for people at all stages in life from birth to old age. A key principle of osteopathy is that the body works as a whole and changes to the body’s structure affect its function. By detecting and improving structural imbalances the body can heal itself.
Osteopaths use massage, stretching techniques, manipulation and touch to reduce muscle tension, improve movement of joints and enhance blood and nerve supply to tissues.
The most common conditions I treat are:
- Back and neck pain and stiffness;
- Shoulder and arm problems;
- Pelvis, hip and leg problems;
- Sports and other injuries;
- Postural problems such as work strain, and during pregnancy.
