Jo Conley-Driscoll - Reflexologist (Dip L3) MAR
I qualified as a Reflexologist in 2012 and I am a Member of the Association of Reflexologists (MAR), I have subsequently completed a diploma in Indian Head Massage, and I am in the process of completing a course of study in Professional Relaxation Therapy.
I believe we all need to make space to relax and reflect in order to improve wellbeing, which is more than the absence of illness; it also includes an improved frame of mind, better relationships with those around you, and increased happiness.
I have had a fulfilling career in mental health nursing and a lot of experience in supporting patients with emotional distress and stress-related problems, I also have experience as a crisis worker responding to the immediate needs for victims of serious sexual assault.
Reflexology is a gentle holistic therapy. The theory behind the healing is that by applying gentle pressure to the feet energy pathways are cleared allowing vital energy to flow more freely around the body, helping the body to restore balance naturally.
We all recognise the negative effects intense and chronic stress can have on our wellbeing, If we consider the reverse, deeply relaxing reflexology treatments may revive and help the body to rebalance these effects. I have found clarity and strength of self-belief from being in such a deeply relaxed state and been able to resolve issues. I believe being deeply relaxed opens connections between the subconscious and conscious cognitive state and the mind is then able to find its equilibrium.
My intent is to make a meaningful difference to all my clients.
