Linda Battman APNT ITEC SBRCP a well qualified, experienced practitioner has specialised in working with patients with life- limiting conditions. She offers home / hospital visits within a 10 mile radius of Stroud and has practised at Stroud Natural Health Clinic since 1996.
Linda has received additional training to treat patients with a variety of life limiting conditions while being employed at a local hospice for 10 years as Complementary Therapist and Therapy Co-ordinator; she has treated patients at all stages of their disease process and has been CRB checked. She also ran workshops to help volunteer therapists adapt their skills to work safely on fragile patients.
Qualifying in Therapeutic Massage with the Maitri Foundation (1993) she learnt the art of Indian Head Massage with Narendra Mehta the following year. She studied Reflexology with Patricia Morrell graduating with credit (1996). Linda has been a Reiki Practitioner since 1998; she gained the International Therapy Education Council (ITEC) Beauty Specialist Diploma, graduating with credit in order to offer a wide range of health and beauty treatments. Postgraduate training has continued with Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage (MLD) in London with The European School of Healing & Complementary Medicine and Vertical Reflex Therapy with Lynne Booth; Other post-graduate courses include Chinese Facial & Head Massage and Gentle Head Massage at Christie Hospital Manchester, the ‘M’ Technique with Dr Jane Buckle, Hawaiian Massage, Hot Stone Therapy, Thai Foot Massage, Hot Stone Reflexology, and Thai Facial Massage. Linda holds the APNT qualifications in Therapeutic Massage and Anatomy & Physiology and has a current First Aid certificate. Linda has been awarded the prestigious Senior Practitioner status with the British Register of Complementary Practitioners.
